Since the year 2000, the PANTONE Color Institute has been selecting a color trend to represent each year that goes by. This Color of the Year is chosen by the Institute's color experts, who study trends all around the world in a quest to find the color influences which best define the global zeitgeist.
Below, there is a compilation of the 19 Colors of the Year that have been selected as of this upcoming year 2018. The hex code for each color is written on the bottom of the respective color samples. The years 2000 through 2015 pictures have been made by the designer, while the 2016 through 2018 pictures have been released by PANTONE itself. I hope you enjoy this journey through time and color.
