Save the Bees Infographic
FALL 2017
For my History of Graphic Design class, we studied William Playfair, the first person to create infographics to display information. Then, we were given the assignment to create an infographic on any topic we wanted. I chose bees because my fiancé's family raises bees, and I was curious to learn more about the struggles they face in that business.
I chose the purple color to complement the yellow color of the bees. I used variations of a single sans serif typeface to maintain legibility on screens and to create some visual rhythm with the contrasting weights. I created all my own illustrations to complement the information and communicated it in a more visual way.
