Folkloric practice

When information had become an ordinary consumer product, video hosting sites became the main stores. In these "stores" in addition to the product itself, you can "get on from the ticket office" to get the opinion of other "buyers", and with the addition of the "like" button to the comments, the opinion of other people about any product/information became more important than the information. I noticed that others spend much more time reading comments under publications than watching the video itself. This phenomenon interested me and I decided to conduct a study.
I chose a topic that should be the most discussed in the Russian Internet - the upcoming presidential election, and began to read comments about the candidates. Practically it was a usual collection of folklore (though not oral). Negative comments of people gave birth to completely contradictory images of antagonists. I tried to recreate these images using a collage.
As a result, absolutely delusional "portraits" were obtained, which could be described as a schizophrenic dream after a busy day, when you heard political news on the radio, then read historical literature, and by chance accidentally switched to a film with conspiracy themes.
And in the morning you understand that in these images there is no sense, real facts and claims, because this is a real abracadabra. But usually we remember these dreams and images. But does this make sense? Yes, on the one hand, these pictures clearly show the typical image of the villain from russian fairy tales (Bazurmanin-alien or snakes), but do they have real value and value as information that can be applied in practice? Or is it a distraction from more important information (the video itself, to which were these comments)? Then is it useful for us to know what others think and are we able to "digest" that nonsense into which different opinions develop? Or does the information become such a useless product that you can simply throw out?
