The design process for Victoria University of Wellington’s new School of Design website began in 2014. After much research and deliberation, the designs for this site were finally created in 2017.

The new site looks to provide the school with a portfolio, showcasing student work in a range of disciplines catered for by the various majors and masters programmes. Due to the wide array of work intended to be housed by the site, a key feature here was developing a filtering system which would allow for efficient and intuitive delineation of design projects.

Alongside the site’s development included a redesign of the school’s branding, with subtending being produced for the school’s key programmes. This process borrowed a modular aesthetic, where elements could be reused and rearranged to help ensure consistency.
