I was asked to re-design the packaging, creating a new identity for a renamed wine Monte das Barcas. This wine will be sold in bag-in-box packaging. A young and fresh new look was needed. I played around the stain marks of wine glasses on the table to create the graphic identity of the wine. Two versions were created but the "barca" (boat) with the wine barrels was the chosen one. Monte das Barcas - Bag-in-box Wine
Re-branding and design of Packaging
2012
I was contacted by a local marketing company that specialises in wine.
They had found a small wine producer, whose wine was great, but it needed a design "facelift" to be commercialised in supermarkets.

Former Design of the wine bottle and the bag-in-box
The bag-in-box particularly lacked a strong branding throughout the packaging, having the brand and wine producer only on one face.
BRIEF

The wine was being rebranded and was to be sold in a bag-in-box kind of packaging, instead of in a bottle.
My job was to design a New Identity for the new brand of wine "Monte das Barcas" as well its new packaging.
CONCEPT

The logo is formed by the typography and the drawing, which can be used separately.

The drawing is inspired on the wine glass stains that are so commonly left on table towels, thus it's sketchy look.
The theme is the "Barcas" - the name of the boats typically used to transport the wine barrels, specially in the North of the Portugal.

I kept the colour scheme on the dark reds spectrum, as that was the only type of wine the company selected.
