Sahel Hashish is a luxurious resort looking over the Red Sea, with an area of 90,000 square meters, that includes a Recreational facilities, residential units, a hotel, and a commercial center. Our Approach was to create a resort that provides a diverse range of facilities and activities to cater for all ages and interests through ( open spaces, recreation areas, clubhouse, interactive plaza, commercial activities (F&B), promenade experience, aqua park & sport zones).Each space is distinguished by a unique feature whether it’s a higher level of privacy, large pools, a lazy river circling the resort or a promenade with a direct sea view. Each space will give a completely different user experience.

The story behind this project
This one is a very intriguing project, it forced us to question the fundamentals standers we believe in. we always try to resist the need to go back and borrow from the past seeing it a nostalgic way of dealing with the present.
and since we are living in a very intense era where nothing is predictable and every small aspect of our life keeps changing rabidly the need to borrow from history has no justification !! or so we thought!!
And this particular project allowed us to reflect on that idea, A through back to history should not be in forms and shapes, the one thing we can learn from history that is human nature itself, everything else is changing, transforming and never going back!!! The human experience, on the other hand, will sustain its form throughout the years!
So, we had to experience this project differently and questioned the fact that after all there could be a reference that links the past with a very unpredictable future!
So when we were faced with this new challenge, it wasn't clear if this project fits our vision for the future. Creating a historical architecture that gives a sense of place, is not quite what we have in mind, but moving against our stander way of thinking could teach us something new, and it was worth it!
We learn from history through stories, we visualize those stories through the remaining monuments, and we experience the feeling with our instinctual collective memory.
So a story told with shapes, reflecting feelings restored by collective memory, will be the way to articulate history in this project.
