SLUR // Wine Label Design // MCC Silver Award

CLIENT: MULTI-COLOR CORPORATION // Silver Award 2017

CHALLENGE
To create a conceptual wine label for the Multi-Color Corporation (MCC), who are the global leader in label solutions. This design was for a student wine label competition, which my work won the silver award for.

EXECUTION
This wine is aimed at seasoned wine drinkers who have a good sense of humour. When people have had a few glasses of wine they tend to get chatty and often slur their words. In saying that, this brand of wine is called ‘Slur’, and this particular wine has “Nuity Frotes” rather than Fruity Notes. I have also used spoonerism in the style of wine, written as “Ninot Poir” instead of Pinot Noir, to further highlight this concept.

The illustrations around the name are a combination of music notes and the fruity flavours one can expect when drinking this wine (Raspberry, Cranberry, Cherry and Strawberry).
Copy on the back label

This ninot poir embraces it's layers of
mischievous sweetness from strawberries and cherries
and is perfectly balanced by hints of tart raspberries.
The aroma and lingering taste of summer berries is delightful.
Slur with Nuity Frotes is a playful blend that enchants the palate.
A sure sign of good times and fine wine.
