Der Line Up Tisch ist ein Resultat eines Material orientiertem Prozess. Er soll das Material Beton ins Wohnzimmer einführen. Ein Material, das für Härte und Gewicht steht. Das Ziel war es den Charakter von diesem Material zu verändern. Wichtig war es die Platte aus Beton so dünn wie möglich zu machen. Dank eines innovativen Gitter aus Glasfaser habe ich es geschafft die Platte 8 mm dünn zu machen, was ein beeindruckendes Ergebnis ist. Die Beine sind aus Aluminium und gehen von den Ecken in die Mitte der Platte. Dies führt dazu, dass die Betonplatte leichter und fast schwebend wirkt. Um die Platte zu stabilisieren sollte ein ehrlicher Weg benutzt werden. Aus diesem Grund wurde die Platte und das Gestell mit einem Seil festgebunden.
The Line Up table is a result of a material driven process. I wanted to introduce the material concrete in the living room. A material that stands for roughness and heavyness. The goal was to change the character of the material. I tried to make the concrete plate as thin as possible. Thank to a grid made of fiber glass I achieved a thickness of 8 mm which is outstanding. The legs of "line up" are made out of metal and go from the corners in the center which lets the concrete plate look even lighter. To stabilize the plate I wanted to use a honest way. Therefore I decided to take a rope and tied the two elements together.
