"STRASSE INK"

This was a school project with the goal of making a logo for a company that does not exist.

The company that I made this logo for is called Strasse Ink, a print shop located in downtown Chicago. The two owners are siblings, two years apart, Adelie Weber (30) and Roddick Weber (32). They are the son and daughter of their German immigrant parents that moved to Chicago in the 1980's. Having a rough upbringing growing up in the south side, they found an outlet to get away from the gang violence and drugs that was consuming their friends. That outlet was art, in the form of graffiti at first, but eventually into tattoos and high end printing. The siblings now own and operate this print shop and their own tattoo shop.

The Weber's play an active role in their community in helping their youth get out of street violence, poverty and abusive homes. They, do this by hosting events such as 360 Youth and SGA Youth and Family services and promoting           any events they may be having. They give an outlet through art to help children and teenagers who are facing challenges.

The cover is the main logo, and the rest of this project I provided the Style rules for it. I would hold a meeting with the Weber's and not only present them with a digital and a printed copy, but I would also guide them through this manual in detail.

I hope you enjoy.
