WHO WON THE NEWS
Designing a knockout event

In 2017 ‘Fake News’ was named by the Collins Dictionary as Word of the Year. Was that just a PR stunt or a telling reflection on how news and the media in general is shifting rapidly under the weight of digital disruption? The WHO WON THE NEWS event discussed whether 2017 was the year which saw the balance of power shift away from traditional media to new digital services.

The event branding was positively received and was designed to graphically capture the confrontation between the two sides of the media – traditional vs digital. To help tell the story we produced a series of exhibition style installations around the event space that illustrated key news event throughout the year.
