The theme of our project was centered around "Staying Sane at Berkeley," and each team was given an area of interest in which they would conduct further research to find a problem or need, and then come up with solutions for that problem. My team chose to look into "Negative Habits." We conducted several weeks of user research using ethnographic techniques to conduct interviews, and then used that data to reframe the idea of "insanity" or stress before beginning the process of ideation and prototyping. The presentation above illustrates and explains, in more detail, how we came up with our final solution, "Toilet Thoughts" - an online platform that aims to bring transparency to the dialogue surrounding stress at Berkeley. Enjoy!
