Play Educational Documentary

As students in the Multimedia Lab at the Center for Art and Research Technology (CART), we worked to create the short documentary, "Play". We focused on the importance of community and how different forms of play create strong communities. Our team consisted of three graphic design students: Maria Torres, Eduardo Alonso, and Lorah teran. In addition, we had three film students: Francisco Vasquez, Joshua Etchegoyen-Quintana, and Eddie Graveline.
Above is Eddie's logo animation. We didn't end up using this for the final documentary, but it is just a simple fade in from black.
This is Eddie's individual documentary. Before the final documentary was finished, each film student put together an individual video. All three were later intertwined and became the final product.
Here is the final documentary. It was strung together by film team member, Eddie, and it consists of all three individual documentaries. In the beginning, we used Joshua's logo animation. All footage of rock climbing was taken by Francisco. Josh obtained the softball images. And, Eddie covered the card gaming footage.

Francisco Vasquez: My design choices were simple most of my individual part of the video was a medium close up to convey the feeling of community. This video made me realize that connections and bonds are very important in order for the world to continue moving.
