I created the comic page as an assignment in a college Visual Design Class.
To create this comic page, I used Photoshop to make shadow/highlight alterations and the sharpen filter to correct dark images.  I found the Mission: Impossible text online to incorporate into my design to give it a true “Mission: Impossible” feel.  I used the ellipse tool, pen tool and text frame options to created bubbles.  The zigzag speech bubble was made to create an impression of a recording.  I created three swatch colors and one gradient from the new swatch colors to fill the caption box.  I did place and link the caption box throughout the page.  I flipped the image of the girl on her cell phone and created a copy of the birthday girl’s head by placing it into itself to make it pop out of the frame.

I chose orange and yellow as my primary colors because they convey warmth, joy and energy.  The color orange also creates a desire of hunger to the observer which is appropriate for Dinner Impossible.  The sans serif font was chosen because it was modern and easy to read.
