Autumn Leaves Watercolor Original Painting

This is a watercolor painting, featuring luxurious and vibrant colors. Who said that watercolors need to be wishy-washy? This painting has rich darks. Each color has been built by layering paint upon paint, resulting in a glow. Whilst it doesn't show on a computer screen, the human eye can distinguish various color differences between each layer of paint, creating a very dynamic painting.

You can really feel the warmth and glow from this watercolor painting. Each layer has been meticulously built to create rich and vibrant darks.

When winter comes we often think of cold and bleary days, rugged up safe and warm in a cozy blanket. We care for our bodies, but often forget to care for our minds. A lot of people experience and suffer from the “winter blues”. It’s a seasonal affective disorder (SAD) in which many people with exhibit depressive symptoms, typically experiencing these feelings in winter. Depression and anxiety is more widespread than most people realize; 1-in-5 people will experience mental illness a year, and1-in-25 people will suffer extreme cases.

To help combat the very real and sometimes debilitating effects of mental illness, 10% of profit from sales will be donated to various mental health charities and awareness groups such as the Mental Health Foundation.

It’s one of my medium sized paintings at 11×14″ (28×25.5cm).

This painting will suit any room; whether you have a minimalistic style or elegant-traditional decor. The painting is a step away from realism, yet is not so abstract, that it will attract attention in just the right way. It really does makes a great statement piece.

The original painting is no longer available. However you can purchase the print and other products such as phone cases featuring this artwork from FineArtAmerica or my Etsy store
