The woven shawl is inspired the color palette of 'Katharagama Procession' which is done as an annual devotional ceremony for the Katharagama deity. The color palette is more bluish and yellowish also inspired from the peacock (the symbolic animal of Katharagama deity). The project was done to get inspired from a Sri Lankan procession and create a woven textile for a particular target audience. So the target audience is young, ethical and fashionable girl who loves to be unique with her own style.
