At the invitation of Dr. Michael DeBakey, Dr. Thomas Taylor moved from England to Houston to become a Professor of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He worked at this position for eight years before he was appointed the Chief of Academic Surgery and Chief of Postgraduate Medical Education. During this time, he obtained ten US patents and wrote over 200 scientific papers.
