Yes, this is my baby announcement. We'll be having our first baby boy!
I was looking though DeMilked.com and I was so inspired by all the different and creative announcements all these parents had done and I wanted to come up with something unique too. It was about a year after I got married and I started a series of ideas and designs all sketched out before we really decided to make our family. A few years later, my hubs and I played a modern CLUE game at a friends house that involved finding a code with red film. I remember getting the same type of mini games in serial boxes which helped me come up with this final design. I had 3 other ideas at first that involved watermarks and typography-letter-cut-outs but this design became the winner.

My friend wanted a jungle themed baby invitation and I saw it as an opportunity to do it right. I mean "do it right" because I'm so tired of seeing illustrations of "jungle animals" that are not even in the same region (zebras and tigers) or mixing savanna animals with jungle. I try to do my research.
At first I just had the mother and baby fox and it didn't look right or at least it looked as though something was missing...I decided to add a father fox and it all balanced out.
