MIR snap wallets
Created from a single piece of material and fastened only with a unique snap button,
the MIR wallet series demonstrate minimalism in both appearance and construction.
No stitches, no glue, and still a fantastically slim design that comfortably holds both cards and cash.
The MIR-A snap wallet has 6 pockets for cards or folded cash, and is available
in genuine buffalo skin, recycled leather and thermo-coated PU leather (TPU).
For the next round of production, we are looking for other unique, suitable and
preferably sustainable materials to include in our lineup.
The recycled leather has a unique texture, and also develops a patina over time.
The MIR-B has has 2 pockets for cards and a large compartment that
can also securely hold bills, thanks to the extended ears of the card
pockets making sure nothing falls out. Due to the stiffness needed to
uphold the shape, it is for now only available in buffalo skin.
To achieve the perfect balance between simplicity and functionality,
we went through quite a few iterations and prototypes before settling
for the final shape and materials. We chose the name MIR since the
unfolded pattern resembles a space station with wide panels.
The MIR snap wallets are locally sourced and produced in Seoul, South Korea. The recycled leather is made in Germany.
