Point of Purchase Display Unit
             HIDR8 WATER

This project was for a student design competition, and this is brief E: a free standing display unit used to promote a new brand. The goals of this brief were to use a single material and make it able to be flat-packed and easily assembled. The display unit was to have a unique visual presence and communicate the brands benefits.

Below are four prototypes I constructed before coming to the final solution.
The second image shows the die-line templates for the final display unit.
Next, I measured, cut out and constructed the final full-scale model.
Finally, I created a three-part mock-up that includes all the graphics for the display unit.

The bottles lay horizontally in the die-cut slots, and are positioned so that when one is taken, the rest slide down to the foremost position. On each of the sides, there is a pattern of water bottle's that promote the brands key benefits of 'Purity, Health and Hydration.' The water waves in the background are also used to promote the brand as pure and fresh, as well as make it clear that the product being sold is indeed water. The brands logo (HIDR8) is highlighted using the die-cut bottle that is extended from the main body.
