This artist catalogue pays homage to the work and writings of Josef Albers. The form of the book is directly inspired by Albers’s Homage to the Square and functions as an extension of his artwork. The book is divided into four sections: life, sketches and drawings, architecture and furniture, and paintings, prints, woodcuts and glass. Each section is differentiated by color and different sized formats that reference the Fibonacci sequence that is a core element of many of Albers’s works. Selections from Albers’s most influential essays and lectures lead the reader through a written and visual journey. This sixty-page catalogue is housed in a protective acrylic case.
