This identity design project, for a bouldering event in Bengaluru called Bengaluru Bouldering Championships, was part of my summer internship at Origami Creative in 2017.
It involved the conception of the idea and its development in the form of a logo. Since the event was being organized in Bangalore I took inspiration from there. I derived various shapes and elements from the sport and abstracted the map of Bangalore to create the basis of my logo structure. The other element in my logo is the human form- athletic, stretched and rigorous. Since courage and energy are at the core of the sport, I used the color yellow along with a complementary blue.
The aim of the event was to popularise the sport of climbing in India, to motivate new people and showcase the best Indian (as well as International) climbers.
