I had the idea of this work while i was working with my sister on her fashion project. Since my childhood i was aware of the texture of every fabric. Maybe it is a gene because my grandfather was a textile expert.
The 5 figures show the 5 different fabrics we wear: cooton, silk, wool, polyester and leather. While the industries are growing as monsters they found a way to maximize the production and decrease the cost. The polyester which comes from petrol is replacing bit by bit the 4 natural fabrics we used to wear since prehistory. Under each photo I put a piece of the fabric corresponding to the image above. The visitors in the exhibition could touch it to feel the differences between each fabric.
