This installation is the outcome of a reflection on the way a profession is being exercised and the psychology between father and son that underlies this.

An intense conversation between father and son is written out on sheets of handmade paper. My father had a busy life as a trader of printing machines and supplies. Driven to prove himself, being the best and reaching his goals to have success in his profession and making money for the family, it also caused a clear separation of roles in family life.
The printing ink is mixed with turpentine and will be absorbed by the paper during the exhibition. The sound recording of the interview is observable by touching the glass panels. By transferring only the low frequency of the sound, the glass panels start to vibrate. This is caused by mounting bass speakers on the back of the glass panels.

Materials: brass, zinc, glass, printing ink, turpentine, handmade paper, waterproof pen ink, CD player, speakers and amp.
Measures, total size: 550 x 95 cm
