Because of the release of the BluRay of War for the Planet of the Apes, I decided to make a restyle of all the three cover of the collection in a more clean and modern version. For each front image I decided to represent a step of the growing of Cesar (both physically, both for is hanger) and coloring each one in a different color (cyan, yellow, red). Over that I decided to put two specific and meaningful scene, using always the same image-treatment. One was the most iconic part in term of action and usually the climax scene (a duel or a battle), the other was a pageful moment and usually the starting point of the movie (the home, village or final land of the character).
After choosing the scene for each movie, I tried to recreate it from scratch. Starting from the chosen frame of the movie, I tried to find photos of the various elements of the scene in order to reassemble it. In the bottom, you can see a comparison between initial images and final composition for all the covers.
Below you can find the composition of all the three cover. For the back I choose to give great importance to the chosen color for each cover. The snapshots are a composition of main character and landscape views.
