Truly South African
For this project we were asked to create a campaign for the Iziko Slave Lodge in Cape Town, something at represents our country and the cultures within it.
The Iziko Slave Lodge holds the most interesting and heartbreaking truths about South Africa and it’s past. Being in a place that is so close to home for most South Africans evokes many different emotions, the Slave lodge means different things for different cultures and individuals, which is important as these feelings humble you and allow you to understand how the past has shaped our country. By retelling actual stories from slaves it is not only a testament to them but surprises one as to how hidden our past is in our colourful today.
