RedBull - 5Pics Jordan Competition
My Album (Story from Jordan) has got 3rd placeselected from among 500 participants in the photography competition by RedBull 5Pics Jordan.

Hundreds of photography lovers gathered at Gallery Ras Al Ain to take a glimpse at 125 stories from Jordan told with photos.

During the 4-week submission phase of the first edition of Red Bull 5 Pics in Jordan, over 350 albums were uploaded. An initial shortlist of participants was eventually narrowed down through curation and judging to the 25 participants displayed on the gallery walls. During the evening event, the judges: Her Excellency the Minister of Tourism Lina Annab, Farras Oran, and Linda Khoury met and assessed the top entries.

After much deliberation, Hiba Nabulsi claimed the top spot, followed by Mohammad Bitar and Jihad Taqatqa.
The Jordanian-themed gallery included five sections that reflected elements of Jordan’s diverse nature and rich culture. The first section was filled with the aromatic smell of Arabic coffee that was being prepared and served to the attendants by traditionally dressed locals. The second section resembled a green forest that was very similar to the northern forests of the Kingdom.

Once you reach the third section, you are greeted with the ambiance of downtown Amman, merchant stands, and spices. The fourth section is the closest thing you’ll ever get to Mars! Looking up at the starry night ceiling, walking on sand, and seeing a camping tent, giving you the feeling of being surrounded by the mountains of Wadi Rum. If you listen closely, you can hear the sounds of running water coming from the fifth section, which reflects the valleys and wadis of the country’s southern regions.
Aqaba-based band played a mix of their traditional music on wild instruments to entertain the audience and keep the ambiance lively and vibrant.
The digital-based photography event aimed to bring together talented young enthusiasts and pioneering professional photographers. Photographers of all backgrounds and levels were asked to demonstrate their ability to tell a story through their digital photographs. Each participating photographer was required to tell a story with five of their best photographs from Jordan by uploading them to the Red Bull 5 Pics website.

The first-time event was held in partnership with Zain, Al Markaziya Toyota, Tourism Board, Canon, Darat Al Tasweer, Roya, Radio Hala, Bliss 104.3, Layalina and Rooftop Advertising.
