Tattoo's are the art of the common people, just as art they come in different forms and styles. From abstract to illustrative to colour realism, from primitive to modern techniques, so Galerie Sakura thought it was finally time to give this special form of art its own exhibition. Galerie Sakura in Paris is a crazy place. In this haven of chaos, creativity has been let loose like an unbridled horse, unleashing a massive gust of fresh air upon the Marais’ slightly pretentious art scene.

For the exhibition, there were a limited amount of t-shirts made all about the tattoo theme. I was one of the artist that had the honour to design one of those t-shirts. For the shirt I chose to give the traditional panther / leopard tattoo a bit of a Klok Huis flavour.
