Savoy’s Express is an Indian restaurant in HUB Mall at the University of Alberta. As a satellite site of Savoy’s South Indian Kitchen in south Edmonton, they serve traditional Indian food at budget costs to the campus community.

While working on a site build for a local startup, Savoy’s Express reached out to the CEO of the group requesting design work to be done. As they had no designers on tap in the startup, the group asked if they could subcontract the work to me. I accepted the proposal and was given the job of redesigning a more readable and organized menu for Savoy’s Express.

All assets were provided by Savoy’s (logos, colours) and I had free reign to lay out the menu with fonts and styles in my choosing. The entire project was completed over the span of one week prior to the start of the Fall 2017 academic term; minor edits and style changes came in subsequent weeks.

Mockups and final renderings of the menu were done in Adobe Illustrator for a final output to be displayed on two 27” televisions.
