Title: Identities in action

Description: Students will choose an identity and develop its expressive characteristics by creating a scenography and a performance. From the start, you will need to consider that the aim of the project is to create a short animation from a storyboard. Both scenography and performance will have photographic outcomes.

Concept: I was never fond of the idea of representing egoism with some form of singular entity. It feels a tad bit too lonely for my taste and I don't think egoism has to be about loneliness. I prefer to approach it as a confined conversation with yourself. With a "one-self" that would be either impossible or would automatically imply the conversation, which is odd since I believe egoism is better represented by the conversation itself. The choice of an aluminum foil siege is to firmly isolate the "conversation place" from any other reality while the use of turquoise and surreal assets sets a dreamy, absurd and introspective atmosphere. The action is a mere constant interaction between you and yourself. The blindfolds are there to remind us of how blind and unaware egoism can be (which shouldn't be taken as a criticism towards egoism)
