Gustave Courbet claims that: “An age which has not been capable of expressing itself through its own artists has no right to be represented by subsequent artists”, and so, since 2010 I’ve been photographing people in their bedrooms—one of the only spaces in our lives that is both private and public, intimate and exposed—in order to form one extreme wide-angle-long-exposure image of my own private epoch.
