Vuka, which means “wake-up” in Zulu, is a new energy drink brand. The strategy was to breakthrough the cluttered energy drink market by communicating the brand’s offering in a simple yet disruptive way. Energy is symbolized via the sun to represent the brand’s name and origin. Additionally, four different color palletes were used to distinguish each flavor.

The packaging was designed to introduce Vuka as an intelligent and sophisticated energy drink unlike other aggressive and masculine brands in the market. The colors, shape and design of the bottle were created to stand out on shelves where the consumers make their decision. The aluminum bottle with a screw cap ensures consumers can enjoy the drink on the go.
