Problem: The problem I ran into was the complicated lighting and shadows in the bells. The sharpness of the photo resulted in a contrast that was too high for the blending tools to process. The mesh tool works better with blended colors. 

Solution: To fix this problem I created several different meshes to mimic the contrast of the original photo.
