The Problems: I wasn't sure if I should've done something Japanese oriented for this last project. Cover images that could've been used would've been cut tremendously with the some rules in place as the Magazine Cover. I want to add a transparent rain effect for a more dramatic feel in this different design but the images were behind a paywall to be downloaded. 

The Solutions: I was able to get a great design that I visioned on screen. It wasn't Japanese this time around, but it was on the topic of depression especially in films that interested me the most. My 2 film competitors (Helen and An Angel at My Table) are both drama films with Helen being the more dramatic. However, in both films the protagonists find ways to overcome it by finding friends or hobbies (Folk-Williams and Ebert). I didn't add the transparent rain effect, but I did add in a blue gradient as a replacement to represent sadness over a black and white adjustment layer. I got to use the pen tool once more for detailed selections.

The Results: I'm pleased with the work I've done. I followed all of the requirements for a good grade hopefully.
