The problem:
Instead of just showing a "gauge" to the user while they check off some boxes in a questionnaire, what if we could find a more creative way to display their progress?
My role:
As Design Technologist for this project, my role was primarily to assist with ideation and guide the discussions on what was possible. The concept came up about a bike race and a peloton, using that metaphor to help visualize where the user currently was in their retirement strategy.
The question came up about whether or not it was feasible to create this module in our restrictive environment and in such a short amount of time. I confirmed that it should be feasible and went to work creating the prototype to shop out for approval.
After developing the prototype, I was provided final vector assets for the cyclists and background and I created the final code for the cyclist module, the quiz module (not shown above) and the interactions for the three tabs. A functioning version can be seen here:
