MAXXI. Out of Context
MAXXI, National Museum of Modern Art of XXI century is the largest building by Zaha Hadid, but if you do not know where it is, it's easy to get through. It is located not far from the historical center of Rome, among typical Italian houses: 2-3 floors, with warm pastel plaster (with the marks of the past), sticking cypresses everythere and red tiles on gable roofs.
A small area and asphalt, as a fence (which is also there), separate the museum from the adjacent buildings. Heavy stone with a row of modern windows scattered in weightless strips, yet gathering in the main building. In principle, it is enough to sit on the bench (the same concrete-folded) outside. It is unlikely that art inside can be more interesting and powerful than this architecture itself.
The name of the museum, hinting at Roman numerals, is the most obvious link to the place.

MAXXI. Вне контекста
Небольшой площадью и асфальтом, как забором (который там тоже есть), он отделяется от прилежащих зданий. Тяжёлый камень со строчкой окон разлетается невесомыми полосами, всё же собираясь в главный корпус. В принципе, достаточно посидеть на лавке (такой же бетонно-складчатой) снаружи. Вряд ли искусство внутри сможет оказаться интереснее этой архитектуры.
Название музея, намекающее на римские цифры, - самая очевидная связь с местом.
