2016 (for a drawing competition I was then shortlisted/exhibited for. photo from National Geographic Portraits, of a 'stylish young woman' and her pet deer [Mombasa, 1909])
2017 (for the same drawing competition, shortlisted again. also from National Geographic Portraits, bless that book)
You guys, I just would not stop entering this competition. I got shortlisted again but I think they just wanted to shut me up at that point. This one is from 2018, and again from the same book. [Sidenote: I tried to Google this image ('Sicilian Youth' by W RObert Moore I think) but the guy loved photographing Sicilian youths so damn much I just couldn't find it. Talk about branding.] [Sidenote 2: my family weren't impressed that I only had this back from the art dept for about 5 minutes before permanently staining it. That's blueberry.]
2013, then 2014, then 2015 (2013: drawn for art GCSE prep sketchbook; 2014, copied digitally; 2015, printed and doodled flowers. this isn't revolutionary or particularly good or anything, but I like the idea of a collaboration with my past self)
2017 (can't remember why I drew this. reference from Steve McCurry's online collection)
