Miklós Radnóti was one of the most important Hungarian poet in the 20th century who died in the Holocaust. In early November 1944 Radnóti was shot and buried together with others in a mass grave at the border of Abda village. Next to the road in Abda stands a full-length statue commemorating his place of death. This ‘Radnóti statue’ was created in 1980 by sculptor Miklós Melocco but it was damaged in 2013.
The statue was restored by the Győr City Council in November 2014. Also the Rómer Flóris Museum of Arts and History (Győr) was commissioned to set up a new ‘Radnóti Memorial Slab’ next to the statue.

A Radnóti Miklós költőnek Abda község határától nem messze emléket állító szobor, amely Melocco Miklós szobrászművész 1980-ban felavatott alkotása, 2013-ban megrongálódott.
A szobrot 2014 novemberében állíttatta helyre Győr Megyei Jogú Város Önkormányzata, és a győri Rómer Flóris Művészeti és Történeti Múzeum kapott megbízást új Radnóti-emléktábla felállítására a szoborhoz vezető úton.

Radnóti 1946-os Tajtékos ég című utolsó, posztumusz verseskötetének táblaborítóján szereplő viharfelhők formai kiemelése és grafikai elemként való felhasználása.
