The Trip is a short dark-themed film on how addictive substances affected the thought process of a teenage boy, Marvin, who was going through some massive changes in his life. Through this project, our team are hoping that this short movie will inspire others to become more aware of the subtle mental health issue happening amongst teenagers that are having difficulties in overcoming life stages and how – for some people – the use of drugs has been tied to become the solution or mere distraction to their problems.
The final project is 3 minute in length, displayed in widescreen format and edited through Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe Audition CC and Adobe After effects whereas the equipment used were Sony PXW200, Sony mirrorless A7S, F4 Multitrack Field Recorder and a shotgun microphone. Several roles are divided within the team; Adnan Reza being the producer and director, Eldo Dewanto being the assistant producer, Aaron Ta as the main editor, Nathalie Nalzaro being the main animator and secondary sound person, Anneke P. Putri being the main sound designer and assistant editor and Hannah Barrows being the assistant director and property designer.
