The Nook is a shelving unit designed for apartment living. Storage is a huge need in an apartment when a kitchen is compact, especially in a city like Cape Town. I feel that the product solves a problem and is something that could be a feature in a space. The unit consists of a timber panel with recessed nooks and various components that slide into the nooks with brackets and is fixed onto a wall or panel with a hook. The customer can customize their own shelf by purchasing the different components separately. The Nook could be used in different areas in the home or office; kiddies room / bathroom / garage and could also be offered in different sizes and colour finishes.
