Noting the lack of successful print media aimed at emerging adults I set out to create a magazine for the up-and-coming. In this case 18 - 25-year-olds with some college education but relatively limited budget. Therefore the magazine would only be quarterly instead of monthly to reduce costs and act not just as an informational publication but as a work to be displayed on a bookshelf, desk, Instagram account, or coffee table until the next issue was published. These features of the magazine as its own work of design to be displayed, its voice, and its quarterly publication would be what convinced the demographic to purchase and remain subscribed to the magazine.
