Handmade On-Tour 2017
The second edition of this roving exhibit explores a non-denominational temple to design, leading a ritual celebration of divine inspiration, high craft and the sacred union of miraculous materials, the maker's mark and the odd infernal machine.
Building on the idea of peace and tranquillity, connoting the passage between sky and earth; the cover adopts a smooth gradient that spread from inside its covers and across; transitioning from a teal ombre from the edge to white at spine and then fading out to a calm brown at the back.
Wallpaper* Handmade is the creation of a ground-breaking exhibition and special edition of Wallpaper* magazine, dedicated to the marriage of craftsmanship and design through the essence of customisation. Acting as patron and creative director, Wallpaper* cherry-picks a selection of some of the finest artists, craftsmen, makers and manufacturers, commissioning unique and one-off luxury items.
As part of a three-year partnership[ between Time Inc., and DesignSingapore Council and with the support of the Singapore Economic Development Board, Wallpaper* Handmade will be establishing its first home in Asia with a showcase of annual bespoke exhibitions and Singapore commissioned pieces.
