Design for Amstel lager slow brewed for the South African market. The challenge that I had for this design was to make it more contemporary than the current Amstel brand. The old Amstel horses were replaced with the current Amstel lions. The new label design changed by creating a new and fresh typographical stronger design. The new simplified golden roudel of Amstel printed on CPL (clear plastic label) on the new green Amstel bottle for the South African market. Also the gold foiled neck typical for the South African market stand out on the bottle. The embossing on the bottle base makes the bottle more contemporary. This project was completed when I worked at VBAT.
