The Arccos Apple Watch app augments golf performance by surfacing contextual information during each round of play. There are four key features: distance measurement to the tee, score tracking, club recommendations, and shot editing.
It was designed in harmony with all other Arccos products: our mobile app, web app, and even the physical bluetooth sensors and grips. These products share a common design language and their capabilities compliment each other.
Ideation, low fidelity designs, and initial high fidelity designs were completed in an exhilarating three-day sprint, culminating in high-fidelity interaction designs and visual designs.
As the release date approached, we sculpted the product design and implementation. The head of engineering, Colin Phillips, and iOS engineer, Muhammad Arafat, were invited to Apple's campus in Cupertino to test the app on physical devices before any Apple Watches were publicly available.
