This was a commission for illustration and cover design for the book Moxa, the son of the sun, by writer and lawyer Ernesto Zarza González. A very interesting story in which the author proposes a journey through the Muisca civilization, going through its culture, myths and experiences. A well-documented book but also plays with situations of fiction that reflect ambitions of power, magic, superstitions and wars.

The order required an illustration with some detail, the image of the main character was chosen, being attacked by some birds after being exposed to the sun for a long time. Additionally, a palette that was in tune with the historical and ancestral tone of the written work should be handled.
