This garment was created in response to a prompt that required fashion designers to construct an inspired garment completely from muslin. This garment was inspired by the women featured in the Tale of Genji and features pieces of muslin that have been hand manipulated using methods of shibori, smocking and embroidery that have also been pieced together by hand.
