Illustration for the Cover of New Scientist about our biological age (ie how old our organs and cells are) can be older or younger than our chronological age.
"A Longer Look", illustration for Four seasons magazine. Most of us spend between six and 10 seconds with individual artworks in museums or galleries—hardly time enough to appreciate their creative beauty. But how, in our culture of distraction, might we extend attention? The author of Slow Art: The Experience of Looking encourages us to spend a bit more time in observation.
"Every Last Morsel", illustration for Four seasons magazine. Smell and taste are experiences we identify with our nose and mouth, but they actually have more to do with our brain. Cacao, for example, contains more than 600 aroma and flavour compounds; sweetened chocolate includes additional scents, like peaches. But if we consume them too quickly or without attention, we miss the delicious complexities.
"How I see" , Four seasons magazine. Illustration, quote and a couple of thoughts about my creative process.
