Easel lamp
2015

Project developed at the Product Design Laboratory, at the University of Florence and selected as a project participating in the design contest “The light that is seen”.
The project was developped with partnership of Nicha and Welt Electronic, suppliers of electrotechnical tools.
Brief: The experimentation of LED technology.
Evasion in shared spaces

The project’s goal is facilitate  the concentration in individual work, at home as in shared spaces.
Essenzial design

Easel lamp has extremely essential lines and volumes, far from the lamps table traditionally widespread. We find the same essentiality in the choice of materials; the whole structure is made of birch wood and white polypropylene for the diffuser sheet. It has an illuminating body horizontal, to remember the typical library’s lamp, from which it takes inspiration.
Adaptable lighting

In order to accommodate different needs in work and break moments, Easel offers two different lightings.
The illuminating body can be wrapped or not with a white polypropylene sheet. In this way we can turn light from direct to indirect and we can have a table lamp or an ambient lamp as we need.
Slim and easy to install

Slim in transport and easy to assemble, Easel consists in 5 parts: a prismatic illuminating body and 4 snap-fit listels.
The installation of the lamp is quick and simple.
