Ro Murphy is a guitar tutor to Dublin, Ireland. He came to Odd Creations with the vision of creating a brand for his guitar tuition company and, his personal venture of writing reviews of guitar equipment.
Ro Murphy gave us a small but specific brief. He wanted a logo to infuse the aspects of his guitar company but use it as a personal logo for his reviewing. He also wanted posters designed to advertise his guitar tuition company and promote his Youtube channel.

Logo
Although Ro Murphy wanted to infuse the guitar aspects of his company in to the logo, we decided to stay away from the typical thoughts of adding guitars and strings. We went for a more subtle approach, and created a guitar font that looked stylise and simple.
For his tuition company, we add ‘Guitar Tuition’ to his personal logo. We created the text in the same font as ‘Ro Murphy’ to create a sense of belonging and consistency.
Business Cards
Once we had the logo we started creating business cards that incorporated his logo and basic contact information.

Poster
For a simple and effective poster, we asked Ro Murphy for only the basic information needed. Through our experience we explained that his target audience would only pay attention for a limited time only.

For this poster we wanted all the information to be in the top third of the page. It was designed so his target audience could extract all the information needed with one look. We added a close up of a guitar to attract this audience.
This poster we opted for colour. We used an image that spanned the whole length of the page instead of first poster which neutralized the width.

Conclusion
Overall as Odd Creations we are happy with our work and ever more important is that Ro Murphy was pleased too.
