360 Panorama Photoshop Painting 2017

360 Panorama Adobe Photoshop Painting Project
Created in Advanced Survey of Computer Arts Applications
2017
During the summer of 2017, I was fortunate enough to be able to spend 5 weeks at my college’s Hong Kong campus.  While I was there, I was enrolled in Advanced Survey of Computer Arts Applications.  One of our assignments was to create a 360-degree panoramic scene using Photoshop.  This was one of the most challenging assignments I had tackled during that part of my academic career, but also one of the most beneficial to my growth as a student and person.
I decided to design my virtual world around one the most influential experiences I had while in Asia, the markets.  I also spent time in Philippines and Thailand. Even though the countries are very different, I felt a similar feeling of vibrant curiosity in all the markets.  I took many pictures and pulled inspiration from the faces and people I got to personally interact with.
Most of the challenges in this project came from learning the tools that I needed to navigate from drawing and designing to previewing my work in the panoramic space.  Multiple times I would switch views and corrupt the drawing file. Taking what I'd learned I would start again. I did this multiple times until what you see here was created.  Even though it was a very hard lesson to go through, every time I began again, my process and workflow became faster and my drawings improved. My great struggle came with great reward and I am very proud of this interactive piece I have created.
