HardCore Foam Core Design Competition
Created in Model Shop and Prototyping
HardCore Foam Core is a design competition hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Industrial Model and Prototyping class. I was on a team of seven students and had two weeks to build a motorcycle out of cardboard. Then presented our project in the form of a classic rock song to a panel of judges.
This project marked the point of my college career that I truly understood the difficulties that emerge when seven young adults are given a task without explicit structure. Throughout the project, our team struggled to have a strong leader. This caused our team goals to be procrastinated and productivity to stagnate. Other team members lacked accountability and the rest of the group had to take on a larger role to make up for it. Despite these challenges, key members of our team came together to deliver a finished project.
In the form of a classic rock song, our group presented our bike and its features to a panel of judges.
